This movie is based on two books of Colin Clark, that depicts the making of "The Prince and the Showgirl" film in the year 1957, which starred by Michelle Williams (Marilyn Monroe) and kenneth Branagh (Laurence Olivier).
Here, Colin Clark is very determined to make his own way in the film business. He worked as a young assistant on the British set of Marilyn Monroe and Laurence Olivier, which is The Prince and the Showgirl. During this time, Marilyn was also on honeymoon with her new husband , playwright Arthur Miller. When Miller was out of the country, Colin Clark and Marilyn spend a week together and became close to each other, since Colin is always their for her, the man that she can always lean on, in times when she experiencing emotional difficulties until romance developed between the two.
