Coriolanus (2011) is an upcoming adaptation and dramatic film starring Ralph Fiennes as Coriolanus, Vanessa Redgrave as Volumnia, Gerard Butler as Tullus Aufidius, Brian Cox as Menenius, Jessica Chastain as Virgilia, James Nesbitt as Sicinius, John Kani as General Cominius and many more. This movie is under the direction of Ralph Fiennes, which slated to be released on December 2, 2011. It is distributed by The Weinstein Company. It is based on William Shakespeare's which play of the same name.In this movie, Coriolanus was said to be the hero of Rome who is manipulated and maneuvered by politicians and his ambitious mother Volumnia in order for him to seek the powerful position of Consul. Through this, he ingratiate himself with the people whose votes he needs in order to secure the office, but the public refuses him that made him become anger that turns in his expulsion from Rome. Until it came to a point that Coriolanus made a revenge, he offers himself to his sworn enemy Tullus Aufidius, and they march in Rome together to destroy the city.
